Arrowmen from across the country will gather for NOAC – The National Order of the Arrow Conference! Shawnee Members are invited to join our lodges contingent for the conference
The Lodge Contingent will leave the STL area on a chartered bus in the evening of 7/28. The conference runs from 7/29-8/3 and the contingent will return late in the day on 8/3.

The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the flagship national Order of the Arrow event. It is held every two years at a major university campus and is typically attended by as many as 8,000 Arrowmen from all 50 states. It is second only to the BSA National Jamboree in size and scope. We expect a minimum of 6,000 Arrowmen to attend in 2022.

Members can reserve their spot in our lodge contingent with a $100 refundable deposit. The lodge is raising funds through the sale of merchandise to help keep the costs of NOAC low(our expenses to send each participant are over $1000). Our lodges fee to attend is $900 for youth and $950 for Adults. You can secure your spot in the contingent for a $100 deposit; the remaining contingent fee can be paid over the next several months with the full balance being due on on April 1st.
The lodge contingent fee includes:
- Conference Fee including housing and all meals during the conference
- Round Trip Transportation to the conference via a private chartered bus.
Commemorative Shawnee NOAC items available only to members from our lodge attending or staffing the conference. (Includes patches to trade – a popular NOAC tradition!)
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
All requests for cancellations of NOAC contingent participation must be made in writing by June 15th, 2024 to the Shawnee Lodge Help Desk (help@shawneelodge.org). Refunds will be issued for all paid conference fees, minus the $100 deposit, unless request is made before December 31st, 2023. Requests made after December 31st, 2023 will forfeit the deposit. Delegate slots canceled after June 15, 2024, will forfeit the entirety of the contingent fee. The $100.00 per delegate deposit is transferable to a substitute delegate, youth, or adult, on a one-for-one basis, but it is non-refundable and may not be applied to the balance due for another delegate.
In 2022, the Lodge provided scholarships to 57% of the youth contingent members. In 2024, we are planning to raise over $10k to support 1) Lowering the cost for all youth who attend, 2) Providing additional price reduction to lodge leaders in attendance, and 3) provided additional need based scholarships where necessary.
This is a pre-order form for a commerative back patch with all proceeds supporting the 2024 Shawnee Lodge NOAC Contingent. The back patch measures 7.5 x 8 inches and features a Scout holding a lodge flap in the parade of flaps, an iconic NOAC tradition. The base of the patch pays homage to the Irondale Scout Reservation, where the Shawnee Lodge traces its roots. The flap itself highlights our current camp properties where our members provide countless hours of cheerful service each year. The mountains in the background pay homage to the 2024 conference taking place in Colorado, the first National Conference in that state since 1988. Only 100 of these patches have been made and this patch will not be re-ordered.
Patches can be purchased for a special launch price of $100 and picked up at the Winter Fellowship Banquet on 12/17. If you are unable to attend the Winter Fellowship Banquet, there is a option to add postage and the patches will be mailed out after the banquet.
