Neil Maxwell – 2024

 

This recipient shows his willingness to serve wherever needed and exemplifies the cheerful service of the Order of the Arrow. He started his journey in 2019, quickly getting involved with the chapter even during Covid. He stayed as an active member, serving chapter officer positions such as Second Vice Chief and Chapter Chief. He then moved on to the lodge level, immediately serving as the head of the Fall Fellowship Festival and Shawnee Lodge Chief, where he helped keep the lodge as a “High Performing” lodge, the highest ranking in the Order. He now serves as the G7 Section Vice Chief, making his way to many other lodge banquets around the G7 area. For his unwavering commitment to the Order of the Arrow and his dedication to Shawnee Lodge, we proudly present Neil Maxwell with the Founders Award.

Joel Schwartz – 2024

 

This recipient supports many scouts through their journey in the lodge and chapter level and has had impacts on the lodge felt by all. Starting in 2014, he worked at the chapter level to be a Ceremonialist Team Advisor and the Webmaster Advisor. He also served as his chapter’s Assistant Chapter Advisor starting in 2015. After serving 4 years as Assistant, he moved up to work as the Chapter Advisor. During his time serving the chapter, he also worked with the lodge to create a Google admin system to make communication in the lodge much stronger. This helped improve the way our lodge communicates. He also recently helped with the 2024 NOAC Contingency Planning committee, providing help wherever needed. For his continual cheerful service to his lodge and his chapter, we enthusiastically present Joel Schwartz with the Founders Award.

 

Tom Luecke – 2020

 

Tom Luecke has served his Chapter and Lodge for over 30 years in roles as Chapter Adviser, Chapter Ceremony Teams Adviser and Lodge NOAC Adviser. He has helped his Chapter by increasing attendance at events, forming new Ceremony teams, and being a mentor of Scouts and Scouters alike. For his years of dedication, we proudly nominate Tom Luecke for the Founder’s Award.

 

Michael Flynn – 2022

 

Michael E. Flynn has been a cheerful servant to our Lodge and Chapter for many years. He has dedicated his time and effort in numerous capacities to our order. Being a Vigil honor member and a role model to all of our membership, we are proud to honor Mike with the Founders award.

 

Griffin Stoeckel – 2018

This Eagle Scout has had persistent service to his chapter and lodge, becoming a passionate ceremonialist and performing numerous ceremonies for his chapter. He continued to serve by being elected as his chapter secretary making vast improvements to the chapter website and communication. With the passion for this he continued into a second term as chapter secretary. He received the vigil honor in 2017. He has also held many lodge chairmanships such as the bylaws chairman and the ceremonies chairman. Through these positions he has helped organize multiple lodge events throughout the year, and is passionate about every job he does. For his passion to Shawnee Lodge and the Order of the Arrow we humbly present Griffin Stoeckel with the Founders Award.

 

Tim Weaver – 2018

This Scouter has been a staple of our lodge since his days as a youth leader at the Chapter and Lodge level. His mentorship of current and future Lodge leaders is above comparison. He has invested countless hours in bringing new programs to our Lodge and providing support to many chapter leaders. This leader’s actions often go unrecognized and his work as one of the Shawnee Lodge’s first Associate Advisors has helped modernize much of our lodge infrastructure and pilot new methods of communication. He received the Vigil Honor in 2007. For his unwavering commitment to the Shawnee Lodge and investment in the leaders of our future, we cheerfully present Tim Weaver with the Founders Award.
